As a child long time ago in the beautiful Island of Jamaica my cousin Francis Yon would spend His summer with me in Red Hill the suburb of Kingston which had large areas of pasture and woodland and abundance of wild birds, it was only natural that as little boys we would using only home made slingshots made from inner tubes and the small limb of a tree that had a natural Y in it for the handle.

Francis was a master of making these Slingshots of great quality that we used to hunt birds mostly Ground Doves, we would make a small fire after picking the feathers and cleaning these little birds, then would have a feast and talking of what we were going to do when we grow up.

We had BIG hopes and dreams and gladly Francis my COUSIN and FRIEND lived to see success. Good hunting Francis I wish your Slingshot and hunt for ground doves never end so we can have a feast again another day.
