I was also a Toronto Police officer and when I was a young officer, Harold was a police prosecuter in the courts at Old City Hall.  He would talk about any plea bargain or extenuating circumstances and he would call forward the witnesses for the crown, including the officer who liad the charge and any other officer who may have evidence to offer.  He may proceed by asking each witness questions, but usually proceeded by asking the witness to tell the court their observations and findings.  As is said elsewhere  "
A gentler man could never be found     And then many years later Harold started to attend at Centra United church in Unionville.  As I recall, he and Vi drove over from Thornhill.  I visited Vi in their home, before cancer took her life.  Well later on, in preparation for a church dinner (which my wife Gerri and I had spearheaded the first annual), Haroid met Jean while pealing potatoes in the church ad they were later married.  And unfortunatley, Jean passed away as well.  Subsequntly, Harold married Ruth, a widowed resident of Swan Lake where Harold and Jean had lived.  Well again, "A kiner gentler soul" could never be found than Ruth.  Three years ago, I lost my wife Gerri of 45 yrs,  to cancer (to the Lord) at ge 67.  She had attened Central United since she was 2 years old and she was born and lived in Markham.  It hurts.  It really hurts.  And Harold has faced this twice.  And now Ruth will have faced it twice.  I pray for all of God's Blessings towards Harold's future in heaven a towards Ruth and family here on earth.  I belive Harold was a very true follower of our Lord Jesus Christ.  I went to see you Harold, but it was not a good day for you.  Maybe you heard me?  Yours in Christ  -  Dennis Seeley (Gerri)
