Obituary for Angelo Mangialardi
ANGELO MANGIALARDI
Passed away peacefully on December 8, 2018 at the age of 91.
Predeceased by his loving wife, Kay Mangialardi. Will be dearly missed by his children Elizabeth Pepe (Leonardo), Vito Mangialardi (Joanne), Frank Mangialardi (Clennie) and Rosemary Chemello (Oscar), his grandchildren Sabrina, Christina, Sacha, Paige, Dominic, Joseph, Emma, Paolo, Louie, Victoria and Thomas, and his great-grandchildren Laura, Daniel, Marissa, Alessandra and Mia.
Angelo was born in 1927 in Modugno, Italy and left for Canada in 1952 to join his wife-to-be, Kay. He enjoyed a long and successful career with the Metropolitan Separate School Board until he retired in 1992. As a man of faith, he consistently made an effort to give back to his community through his volunteer work with the church, his participation in the Modugno Club of Toronto, and his lifetime membership in the Knights of Columbus (recently recognized as Knight of the Year). Over many years, Angelo found joy in spending time with Kay, his family and friends in Long Island and Florida.
Visitation will be held at Chapel Ridge Funeral Home, 8911 Woodbine Ave., Markham on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at St. Justin Martyr Parish, 3898 Highway 7 East, Unionville on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, 8361 Yonge St., Thornhill.
