Dear Bernard and family. Such sudden passing of Iris. Al and I extend our condolences to you all. We have many memories of Iris. Me (Nancy) with singing with the chorale for a number of years and Al with helping with risers and cleaning up after performances. The chorale was such a blessing to me when I was looking for a group to sing with. Thank you. My daughter, Natalie and I also enjoyed helping Iris at some of her events that she organized. It was such a pleasure. Iris will be fondly remembered for her humble spirit, various ministries and her incredible organizational abilities. We know that you take comfort in knowing that Iris is with her Heavenly Father. We are so sorry for your loss.

You have been very blessed to have had found one another to make a singularly fruitful life together. Iris was always pleased to be humbly present providing her gifts in her lovely contributions to the lives who filled her prayers. So practical and competent in quiet pleasantness and truly warm encouragement, she calmed those who didn't have her confidence and lit the room with genuine love. Bernard, I am sorry for the suffering, but Iris' reward will be great. I am sorry for your loss.

I am so deeply sorry to learn of the death of Iris Pears. I only met her once in person but she played a pivotal role in the life of someone very dear and precious to me. When I met her she was so very kind and compassionate. She was a most intelligent and wise woman who touched my life in a very special way. I shall always be grateful. May her name always be remembered as a blessing.

A dear friend although we hadn't seen her for ages. Our youth was spent together in Chadwell Heath Essex England where we went to the same church youth group at Chadwell Heath Baptist Church. the Covenanters. When they left for Canada we followed soon after. I left England on May 31 1958 and Val the following October. They joined in greeting Val at Union Station in Toronto. Like me she had caught the liner the SS Homeric from Southampton to Montreal - transatlantic flight was in its infancy then. It being Thanksgiving weekend they bundled us in Bernard's little Morris Minor and took us to see Algonquin Park. We did lots with them and attended Oakwood Baptist Church where Val and I got married in 1959- September 5. Iris, then living in Morrisburg, was one of Val's bridesmaids. Although now living in Coquitlam BC a suburb of Vancouver,and having not seen her since before moving here in 1980 we'll miss feeling close to her. Bernard, Stefan, Greg and families we love you all. God Bless you, Brian and Val.
