Obituary for Claire Homsy- Haddad (Homsy)

Print
Claire Homsy-Haddad, born and raised in Cairo on Oct 15, 1930 to a Syrian father and a Palestinian mother, was loved by all.
In 1955, she married Hanna K. Haddad and moved with him to Lebanon where she lived for over 30 years. Widowed in 1974 and having lost both of her sons by 1989 in the Lebanese civil war, she moved between the United States and Canada where she lived with her daughters and grandchildren, nourishing and teaching them faith, humility, compassion, strength, perseverance, and love. She was blessed with children, nephews, nieces and grandchildren whom she loved and cherished throughout her life.
In spite of her illnesses, she remained cheerful and upbeat, smiling and laughing with all.
She spent the last 18 years in Canada, passing peacefully into eternal life on November 11, 2018. She will be missed but never forgotten, remembered by all she touched with her love.
