Condolence: Dear Pat,
We were saddened to learn from Joanne and John yesterday of Stuart’s passing. We reflected on our interaction over the years, tennis at Thornhill, and get togethers both here and in Florida at the Stephenson’s. Our sincere condolences to you and your family.

Condolence: I was at TMCL many years ago and at first meeting I was scared to death of Mr. Hartley. I soon came to know what a wonderful kind and caring man he was. A brilliant leader and role model to many. My deepest sympathy to the Hartley family.

Condolence: In my time with the Molson organization, I never met anyone whom I had more fun arguing with than Stuart....and I emerged wiser from every discussion. He was smart, witty, funny and always on point. He made everyone on his team and around him better....it was a great pleasure to work with him.

Condolence: Pat and the rest of the Hartley family, I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. I worked for Stuart for 14 years at Molson, and he was a great boss and an excellent role model. He was always very supportive of me and my tax group, which was most appreciated. He was also a wonderful person, and was always interested in the personal lives of his reports and their families. I really regret I will be unable to attend his funeral, since I am currently in Florida and won't be back home for another week.

Condolence: My sincere condolences to the Hartley family. I was at TMCL when Stuart started there. I was in Corporate Development and Planning and always enjoyed my involvement with Stuart. Later I moved to Washington with Masters and Stuart was a Director. He was always very thoughtful and treated everyone with respect. I am sorry we lost touch but I have very fond memories of our working relationship.
