Mrs. Kam-Lin So Chau ( 周蘇金蓮) passed away peacefully on Sunday September 16, 2018 in Toronto, Ontario at the age of 94. She met the late Mr.
Kam-Cheung Chau (周鑑章）
(November 12, 1919 – November 19, 1960) and they married and moved to Hong Kong where they built their life together before her dear husband passed away at the young age of 41. She raised her four children in the beautiful and modest fishing village in Tai-O, Lantau Island, Hong Kong (香港離島大嶼山-
大澳漁村). Subsequently, she later moved to Canada in 1983. Mrs. Kam-Lin So Chau is loving mother of Kit-Ping (Kam-Hung), Francis (Kitty), Sabine Ho, and Peter (Annie). Caring grandmother of Marco (Heidi), Mandy (Cato), Aileen (Jimmy), Olivia (Thien), Alena, Christopher and Beatrice. Cherished great grandmother of Jaiden, Skylar, Adrian and Callen. Mrs. Kam-Lin So Chau will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all her relatives and friends. She was a gentle, loving, and kind woman – reserved and humble - with a quiet strength, tireless determination, and fierce independence.
Friends may pay final respect to Mrs. Kam-Lin So Chau on Tuesday October 9, 2018 at Chapel Ridge Funeral Home (積寶山殯儀館), 8911 Woodbine Avenue, Markham, Ontario, L3R 5G1 (4 Traffic lights of Highway 7, on the east side of Woodbine). Visitation will be from 8:30 am to 9:30 am.
A Catholic Service, eulogy and family sharing of memories (天主教儀式安息彌撒) in honour of Mrs. Kam-Lin So Chau (周蘇金蓮女士) from 10:30am to 11:30am hosted by Rev. Father John Lung ( 龍神父) at St. Mary Immaculate Parish (聖母無原罪堂 ) (10295 Yonge Street, Richmond Hill, Ontario, L4C 3B9).
A burial will be held at Elgin Mills Cemetery ( 愛恩墓園 ), 1591 Elgin Mills Road East, Richmond Hill, Ontario, L4S 1M9 (south west corner of Elgin Mills Road and Leslie Street) around 1 pm to be followed by reception at Dragon Legend Buffet ( 龍珠𣾀 ), 25 Lanark Road, Markham, Ontario, L3R 8E8 (1 traffic light south of Highway 7, on the west side of Woodbine).
