Susanne Annette Emma Frueh-Marion (March 7, 1959-July 5, 2018)

We are here today to remember Sue and honour her life. She was a very special person and loved by so many. Born in Mannheim Germany, Sue emigrated with her parents when she was 6 months old to Toronto in 1959.

Susie led a very challenging life spending almost 60 years in a wheelchair due to cerebral palsy. She inspired us all with her strong and resilient spirit. Susie was a born again Christian and her faith allowed her to see the eternal perspective and she looked forward to a joyous reunion with her parents, friends and Uncle Dieter Geissinger to whom she was very close. Her faith, although tested sustained her through many physical and emotional storms. She endured 40 surgeries in her lifetime. It is a great comfort to know Sue has been finally freed and her spirit has found peace at last in her heavenly home.

Predeceased by her parents Emil and Lore Frueh. Loved by sister, Brigitte Gore and her children Ari, Leah and Dana. Christian & Alexandra (Sandy) Frueh and their children Elias, Liam and Sarah. Companion of Steve Polhamus. We acknowledge the special bond with Carol Watkins and family with whom she shared Christmas & Thanksgiving celebrations.

She is also fondly remembered by the staff of March of Dimes who cared for her with many thanks to the wonderful PSW, Brenda. Sadly missed by many friends who resided in her Markham Kinsman Village community. Special thanks to Pastor Lou and the dedicated members of Flow Ministries who conducted ‘Home Church’ services with Sue for many years and helped her in countless ways.

A celebration of her life will be held at Chapel Ridge Funeral Home on Thursday, July 12.
