A brief viewing will be held in the Bayview Glen Church Reimer Chapel between 10:15 and 10:45 for those who are not able to attend the funeral home.

Brenda grew up in Woodstock, NB, attended Atlantic Baptist school in Moncton, NB for her high school and graduated from Victoria Public Hospital school of nursing in Fredericton, NB as a Registered Nurse in 1967. Brenda also attended Ontario Theological Seminary graduating with her Master in Theological Studies in 1992. Her first job as a nurse was at Carlton Memorial Hospital in Woodstock. She was also Director of Nursing at Keddy’s Nursing Home in Halifax, NS and completed her career working as a nurse at Shouldice Hospital in Thornhill, ON, a job she loved very much. Brenda attended Bayview Glen church for over 20 years where she loved singing in the choir, leading women's Bible studies and group Bible studies with Bill and being involved in other studies and discipleship. After moving to New Hamburg she was assistant to the Chaplin at Nithview nursing home, until being sidelined with her disability and she was a member of Highland Baptist Church in Kitchener.

Next to serving her family and her church, Brenda loved to travel and with her navigator skills she guided Bill to drive across Canada and to every state in the Continental USA with their motor home, visiting some provinces and states many times. Brenda was very talented and artistic. She and her sister Carol taught women how to make ceramics in Woodstock and she completed many beautiful pieces. She also loved tole painting with her sister Elaine up at their cottage in Haliburton. She loved to sew, crochet and knit and made many afghans which were given as wedding gifts. As her ability to do physical things declined her iMac computer became her window to the world. She said “I love my computer because my friends live in it”. She looked forward to reading her Presbyterian devotional every morning and personally thanked and corresponded with those who wrote the devotionals who were from all corners of the world. She loved documentaries of all kinds which she watched on her computer and especially enjoyed the e-mails and videos, particularly funny animal videos she received from her friends.

In everything which she did and to everyone with whom she came in contact Brenda revealed the character of Christ as she strove to be an influence and an example for Him.
